I got there at around 5am, waited for them to open the gate until 6, no one came to open it so I decided to drag my kayak down and get started. I caught four decent sized Spots, three dink spots, and...
Thanks for that! That's where I launched last time.
What's the story on the crappie? Structure? Depth? What flies?
Thanks for the advice. I don't mind paying the 8 bucks, just wondering if there was a free place is all.
Can you point me to a good spot to launch a kayak? The last time I went I ended up at the campground, and had to pay 8 bucks? What technique/flies for crappie?
I used an intermediate line last time. They were about 15 feet off shore, I'm just curious if they're much deeper this time of year.
Anyone been lately? I'm thinking about heading up Monday morning. Too hot? Too deep?
Thanks in advance.
Looks good. Deer hair is a real challenge!
I'd be willing to host...Anyone?????

Thanks for that. I have given that some thought as well.
Anyone catch bass or bluegill this time of year?? Too cold?? I'm taking a trip to Redding next week, wondering what to try?
Thanks in advance!
I'm in Northern Nevada and I've recently found a new bass pond. I went for the first time about three weeks ago. The shallows were teaming with green sunfish, and I saw two bass on beds. I broke a...
Wow. Nicely done again!
Sounds about right. If it weren't for streamside vegetation, all my flies would last forever!
Thanks Gene. This is what is great about the future.
It is. I picked it up on Craigslist, I'm loving it!
Awesome fly. How about a step by step?
Awesome. That looks really lightweight, does it take forever to sink?
Got a picture of that 5 color streamer?
I just got the story and pictures up on my blog. Take a look and let me know if they're all spots or if any are largemouth.

I went, I didn't really know where to go. I ended up launching the kayak at one of the campgrounds, 8.00 fee. I didn't get too far into the lake, but I caught six or seven spots and one Smallie.
I'm heading up to this area tomorrow. I've been to Rucker a couple of times, never been to Rollins. If anyone wants to try to meet, that would be great. I'll have my kayak, and my wife prefers that I...
Sweet. That lake is definitely on my list of trips.
My "kid" is 21, but it was a great time.
