The two times it happened in the past it was a one sided conversation for him... I didn't finish his thought fully. I believe his intent was to make sure if it occurred again it would be on a more...
I had a friend back in Michigan that always had a small handgun in the upper inside pocket of his fishing vest. He said he's had "live iron" drawn on him twice in his life. He didn't want that to...
Check out Vortex Optics... you won't be sorry you did.
Very Cool!
Very well put! I'd second this... being a certified casting instructor myself!
I'm right there with Woodman... I very seldom if ever fish a single nymph.
Those are good looking flies Jay!
I always thought the front taper of most trout lines was similar on DT lines and WF lines. The line weight would be determined by the mass of the first 30' of the fly line. By that logic for casts...
Where are you located?
I was on the SF of the Eel... water was low, pretty clear, lots of fisherman, and little in the way of fish. I did get a chance to break in my 12'6" 6 wgt. I caught a wild strappin' 9" smolt on a...
No need for a two hander on the Russian... and you won't generate a bunch of hatred by showing up with a two hander. Folks are kind of twitchy on the Russian about that stuff...
I don't know... I like my 10' rods for fishing indicators. I use my 10' rods for steelhead primarily. I don't tend to go over 9' for trout. The only reason "why" I can come up with is it just is...
Does anybody have a flat aluminum cap for a 2 inch aluminum tube laying around that they'd like to part with? I've managed to lose the cap for the tube for an old Rocky Mountain Orvis Rod tube. ...
I went out but decided not to fight the crowds... I don't have a pram and didn't feel like getting in the 8-10 boat line up. Beaches looked pretty populated as well. I friend of mine hooked into...
I love this video... Steelhead Porn!
I've got a question and I don't know how to get the answer.
In the beginning of the Video, they are interviewing a bunch of veteran fly fisherman. One guy...
All I know is that Aluminum canoes stick to any rock they hit in a river. The Stream Cleats do the same thing, although, they will cut any flyline you step on.
If I didn't own a shooting star, I'd be all over that... Good gear, why are you ditching it?
It seems Exxon strikes again...
I picked up the whole set... (I'm like that) but I think there are definitely some that see more use than the others. I'd start off with the 10' t11, the 7.5' t11 and the 5' t11.

Lake Ontario Atlantic Salmon restoration...
The fishing would be a side bar to the trip... not the main focus. If it is available and decent it could be good. If it is "fair to middling" I may still bring along some set ups for me and my...
That would be great site... if I read Italian...
This is going to be interesting!
Anybody ever go fly fishing in Italy?
