I went to Keine's once. There are several great fly shops along the way, and the one time I went, we got lost going there and stuck in commuter traffic on the way out. No disrespect to Kiene's, it...
Great great grand dad Kennedy was herding sheep and mapping the Sierra around the Monache Meadows area before the turn of the century. He always carried a fly rod. Meadows, mountains and lakes were...
I don't know about Natomas, but Hex's have good hatches on a few other foothill lakes October and November. I've had some really good Hex fishing in snow storms on these lakes.
When the sun shines the scuds go deep, but even a cloud overhead will bring them to surface, An I line covers both situations. I use birds nests unweighted and with beads, Easier than switching...
MT fly businesses are doing well. Adams is racing to fill orders for fly shop displays. Kelly Gallup is opening up a second shop in Ennis. Simms keeps expanding.
I doubt that there is any information on a fishing license that couldn't be found on-line with ease.
No. Richard has been talking about closing the last chapter for a while now. It was not entirely a financial decision but a decision based on simply wanting to get away from working all of the time...
I've made a bunch (trial and error) of similar baskets. The SA basket is old school and under engineered. You do NOT need spikes. I use old fashioned tangly monofilament for my heads that don't snarl...

There is a massive Lower Yuba plan to redirect the river around the dam to allow volitional passage for salmon, steelhead, lamprey and sturgeon. This a joint state and fed project. There will be land...
WA was sued twice for injuries incurred by knuckle dragging, red neck drunks who crashed their OHVs on WA property. One person broke her neck flipping an ATV and the claim was settled out of court. ...
When Eagle had the aggregate operations their attorney repeatedly told them to close the haul road but Eagle feared the public backlash. Their concern for liability was primarily from OHVs racing up...
The cure to high prices is high prices. In this market though, I don't think we've hit the ceiling.
Turnover can spread anaerobic water or toxins (methane and sulfur) through the water column.

Don't bother with Tahoe Fly Fishing Outfitters, they are in South Shore and a lot of their North Tahoe/Truckee information is word of mouth. As a current example they claim the Little T: "Flows are...
The closest kokanee spawning run to Folsom would probably be Bullard's Bar.
No cautionary advisories, ramps are closed.
Davis is not closed.
DB&W says to avoid skin contact with the water and keep dogs out of the water and don't let them drink. With these cooling temps I'm not sure this is even an issue any longer....
