I was able to talk to the K-Pump guy at the show. I can't remember his name, but I bought one. Looks like it works on all sorts of valves. I will be able to use it for real next week.

Another vote for the TFO Professional. A very good performance for such an economical rod.
If you don't mind my asking, what flies were they hitting, and in what sizes?
Nametags for the BB's would be great. I have a friend coming in from Hollister to attend his first Kiene's event. I believe his is a BB'er to.
I bought this DVD and it is a great buy. I picked up quite a few techniques from it and he ties beautifully.
Does anybody have any experience with these? The website says that Kiene's is a distributor. At the price I don't expect the optics to be special, but servicable is fine. How do they hold up to...
Will they work on the valves in the Outcast float tubes? Especially the valves for the seat?
Anybody been there lately?
Bill mentioned that there is a fly casting competition at the show and I was wondering if there will be a junior division. My boy is only 13, but wants to throw a line. He is actually a pretty good...
Today I am officially retired!!! Look out shad, trout, steelies, panfish, bass, and anything else I can get to take a fly. You folks on the forum better watch out because I am going to have all...
If you don't know Charlie he is a GREAT stillwater trout fisherman.
I've been a member for a long time and haven't had any bad experiences. Sometimes you might not be able to reserve the dates you wanted, but the controlled access keeps things from getting too...
I was just wondering if you have the date set for your Expo at the shop Bill? :?:
I want to try it for steelhead. If I need to use weight, should I place the spitshot above the dropper or above the first fly?
I have never fished two flies, but would like to try it. How do you tie on the second fly and does it cause a lot of tangling problems? :?:
Did you sell this one yet?
If you are restricted to small streams I can see where lack of skill casting is not important to you, but imagine how much more fun it is to make those long casts for shad, or still water fishing? I...
I went to one of Denny Rickards' presentations at one of the ISE shows and he absolutely believes in flouro. That guy spends a pretty fair amount of time catching big trout.
I use Oakleys which have multiple lenses I can switch to meet lighting conditions. I don't think they have glasses specifically for fly fishing, but the polarized ones are ideal for it.
If you live in San Jose you should probably contact or go to a meeting of the San Jose Flycasters. There is a really nice guy who is an old friend of mine, and a great fly caster named Tony Yap. He...
I wonder if the same holds true for the Feather River?
I was there in the afternoon and picked up one about 18 inches and lost another. I didn't see much in the way of salmon either, only one rolled and none in the shallows. Quite a few folks in drift...
What are your favorite steelie flies for the Trinity River. A friend wants to fish it and was asking me, but I have limited experience there.
I was at Sailor Bar yesterday evening and saw a few salmon rolling. The ones I saw were all pretty dark. I was fishing for steelies and didn't get any hookups. I didn't see any of the gear...
So, has anybody been catching any salmon on the American? I mean with flies?
