cute little fish!
perhaps next season I will run into you guys again, keep in touch.
nice report, I ran into your brother on the Dooz, we chatted for a few. He was spoon fishing, were his fish caught on spoons? If so, good for him. The Eel fished well this year even in this low water...
Very informative. Sometimes reality sucks as it does on this issue. When I head to the Smith in a couple of weeks I will treat any fish (if I am lucky enough to catch one) with the utmost respect....
Nice read Jeannie!
Great Vid Shawn, my kind of gal!
Ok, tried out my alumabite cleated boots this last weekend and they rock! I had my doubts but I was quite impressed. Even on dry rocks they gripped really well. Thumbs up!
Any more updates? I will be working out a pair of Riversheds this season. Gonna try the alumabites on them. I will have my Pat. Riverwalkers with felt/stud combo with me too just in case.
What are better, the alumibite's or hardbite's? Do they make it unsafe to rockhop on dry rocks? Thinking of puting on some type of cleat, just not sure would be better on dry land. I would think the...
Pretty good topic, I have three different boots currently. Felt, felt/studded and rubber. They all have their place. I assess the river that I will be fishing and wear whatever one fits the bill....
Happens a lot on all forums like this. A person asks for help or advice and doesn't have the courtesy to report back their results, good or bad. Really is a shame.
very unethical, you did the right thing.
since the Niners are not in the Super Bowl then fishing would be the better bet.
Half a day? Really? Did mine in 5 minutes.
I was invited to the release of the bald eagle but couldn't do to work. Wish I made it. If anyone sees a bald eagle with an ankle tag flying around the lower yuba, that is her.
Great job Jbird. I had a similiar incident with a bald eagle on the Yuba River. I saw this bird standing and watching me from 200 ft away. So I walked towards it til I was 20 ft away. He squacked at...
Isn't that something. Lets pray for rain.......lots of it!
Upon closer look, I see that they are different fish. Awesome. Spoon fishing is a kick. The grab is lot like a swung fly.
Nothing wrong with that Bill. We all started there.
26c3, nice fish and pics. Wet rocks, water under fish, nice gear, not afraid to post gear caught fish on fly board. Fish is near perfect not a boot! With the exception of the missing adipose a really...
Guilty conscience? You can see the redds in your pic. It is all good and I am chilled........to the bone!
The river from Sunrise Bridge up to the Hazel Ave bridge should be closed to fishing. I know and so does everybody else who has a clue, that its mostly spawning area. Go ahead and start crying you...
Nothing easier than to rip fish off there spawning redds! Not to mention sight snagging!
This has got to be a troll! Nobody in there right mind would brag about that fish!
