Fished Heenan today (Wednesday), hooked 9 and landed 7 on a sinking line. 5 were on a black leech and 2 on a red midge. Slow in the morning and improved around noon on.

I did well last year on opening day. I think I remember getting into double digits. I expect that it will be a zoo this year with it being on Friday of Labor Day weekend. If you go, get there early...
Yes, I fished it last week. Only first entrance was open so no access to the launch ramp as of last week.
I lost a reel today at Fuller Lake. It's an Orvis reel with a clear line. If you find it please let me know. Fishing was fair today. Hooked one that I would have liked to have gotten a look at but it...
My bad. When I see those signs I just stay out.
They had an A-frame sign posting that the area was closed right at the start of Bowman Lake Rd. and a lighted sign on Highway 20 stating that the area was closed so anyone going past the sign to the...
Found that out the hard way today. Drove up to fish Fuller Lake and the area was closed.
I hooked 8 and landed 3. That seemed to be better than most but not as good as some.
At a little after 3pm they asked us to get off the water buy a speaker on a fish and game truck.
Nice work Bob but you missed a critter on that list. I was driving above Red on 88 with a friend a couple of years ago and an animal crossed the road in front of us. I looked at my friend and asked...
Spent a 4 day long weekend in Mammoth last weekend and had a lot of fun tossing hoppers on Hot Creek and the Upper Owens in the afternoons and fished 3 mornings at Crowley Lake. The fishing wasn't...
Looks like Kirkwood is scheduled for a CA Fish & Game plant this week so that would probably be the best bet for all day action.
Sorry, it's not available anymore.
Yes, although the zippers don’t work very well anymore. They might just need a cleaning or a little oil.
One pontoon has a leak that I have repaired a couple of times but it is leaking again. Probably can be repaired but I am moving on to a new boat. I figure I would give someone a shot to repair it if...
I fished it last Friday and Saturday. Very crowded, had to park outside the gate both days. Results were mixed from what I saw. I landed 5 Friday and 3 Saturday which seemed to be above the norm.
It took a PT Nymph

This guy came out to play Saturday afternoon at Fuller. Also got some planter bows.
Sure looks like the redbands that I was catching up in Tumalo Creek near Bend last summer.

It's a long trip from the Bay Area, but I just spent 3 days fishing Crowley Lake and it is fishing very well.
Thanks guys! She's a good dog (as I throw her ball while writing this). I will have to work on that tail wag when she spots a fish.
Took our new rescue dog fly fishing a couple of weeks ago. I think she's going to be a good fishing partner!

Hey, that is me in the background in the blue pontoon boat to the left of the Fish and Game guy. I found that if you could find water with the least algae you had the best chance. I was getting...
I will sometimes put on a larger dry that I can see then put the small dry as a dropper so at least have a general idea where the small fly is and can strike on rises in the vicinity.
I have been getting fish on Black leeches, zug bugs, olive soft hackle.
