    stripping basket

Any opinions on the "flyline stripper"? I'm concerned that the diameter of a mono running line like Amnesia is too small for the clip and it may slip out. It will be used mostly in the surf.

    pontoon question

When fishing from a pontoon on a lake with some current, are swim fins ever worn to slowly keep the boat in the drift. Like float tubers who can extend an indicator drift by finning to keep up with...

Except for short casts in soft water, my aging eyesight won't allow me to track dry flies, especially the micro patterns that get lost as soon as they touch down.

Won't be long until the kings begin showing up on the Smith, maybe already have. Is there a weekly report anywhere or website that puts out good Smith info?

Sorry guys, still confused about large arbor. Terry, sure the spey lines take up more space which means less backing. But for a single hand line like a 6wt floater, wouldn't a large arbor hold more...

    Fly reels?

Some questions about reel choices. If a large arbor reel keeps fly lines spooled at a larger diameter which should help reduce kinking, wouldn't they be the choice for any rod, even your dry fly 5wt?...

Sorry for the typo guys, my mistake. The rod is not a 9wt but a 6wt. 30' at 265gn requires I bring 4' in the tip for the rollcast, especially when wading. I'd prefer to make this head work instead...

    shooting head
