David- are you fishing for Kings in the A? I have thought about trying but haven't put in the time yet. Maybe this year, at least I'll keep the rust off my spey casting and tuneup for winter...
Welcome! I don't brew anymore (just consume) but I do grow hops. Love to fish with you sometime.
I will be fishing it this week and post a report. Doesn't seem like it has come back too well from the draining.
Thanks for painting the picture. I have been curious about that stretch.
Great adventure! It is cool to see somebody so dedicated to experiencing fish diversity.
Sounds great Marc. Count me in!
Nice fish, though the handling on that last one leaves a lot to be desired. You can see the guy's thumb touching the gills. I am sure you are typically more careful, but stay vigilant! The fish...
I was there recently and it didn't look very different than the pictures I had seen from the time before the Chipps fire (but I had not seen the area in person before). I only fished for about an...
Thanks for the info and the offer Rockman....I will definitely let you know if I am heading your way. Wish I lived further north.
Hey Rockman, what is the condition of the other lakes up in that area? Siskiyou is a little far north for me, but it would be great to get out of the valley. It looks great up there though. Forest...
Nice catch! I take it the holding water was similar to that for half-pounders? What fly?
Looks like fun! What rods were you using? I suppose if you were targeting small tarpon specifically it would be a blast to drop down a few (or more!) rod weights from the traditional tarpon gear.
Congrats Tony, looks very nice.
I snorkeled the Yuba earlier this week and saw some shad. I'm not sure if they would still take a fly or if they are in spawning mode, but they are still around for those inclined to try for them.
Thanks Bill, I'll check with Andy since he obviously has it dialed. I'll bring a few warm keystone lights to appease the drunken masses at Paradise...seems like a fun place for people watching even...
Thanks Darian, I'll check that area out. I'll try to cover some water with only my two legs and a 13ft rod.
I am selling my Elkhorn 8wt:

I have used it to cast big flies for stripers in the bay and it worked great. These rods don't get much press...
Okay, guess I'll have to pull out my canoe and do a drift then.
Thanks for the report Mar. Saturday evening I tried "wading" at Riverfront Park around the railroad bridge...not much room to cast or shallows to wade in. One 6" dink and nothing else, but I don't...

Bump...dropped the price
The flows in the Rock Creek section went way down recently. Fishing was good in this area over the weekend. I caught about 15 from 12-18" ...beautiful, healthy, wild fish! Pat's rubberlegs were...
