Stepson and I just did a half day guided with Bryce Tedford. Fished the Sac casting to the bank. Caught a ton of smallmouth and a few largemouth. A whole lot of fun on a 5 wt.

Wife and I just returned from 3 days at Hat Creek Ranch. Had a fabulous time and the fishing was great! Caught some quality fish and lost some but managed to land this beauty.

Is the river side of Electra Rd public fishing access or is it private land?

I too use an Echo3 5wt matched with an Echo Ion reel and this outfit just performs great and very reasonably priced.

Same results as you had. Tried Dries, Nymphs, Terrestrials and even a streamer with no luck. Didn't even see any fish. Better luck next time.

Curious if anyone has fished the lower Mokelumne River below Camanche Dam and had any luck fly fishing since it recently opened. Heading there tomorrow to practice up before heading to Hat Creek...
