I don't think fish feel pain in there mouth. For example, my dog has been hooked with a crankbait. Now everytime he sees that lure his tail goes between his legs and he's scared as hell, but I've...
If your going to Crowley area then you should try the Upper Owens.
I love that show. Hilarious!
Scott, you gotta watch that movie. Not a lot of fishing scenes, but it's a great story.
Nice video. I just got into some browns that were doing just that. It's so cool just watching them slurp every single bug that comes by. Of course it's even cooler when that bug is your fly.
Lol.
I fished Caples Creek on Wednesday. Pretty slow. I caught one 13 inch brown. I was happy though since I was just exploring new water. Water was kinda stained coming out of the lake.
Russ, when I read your post I really thought you were a guy trying to piss off fly fishermen. I've just seen too many one time posters do that. Sorry to call you out. Hopefully you find fly fishing...
Maybe I'm wrong, but to me it sounded like he is one of those guys that just logs on to piss off fly fishermen. The "Although I will mostly fish plugs and rapalas" part made it sound that way, but...
Somebody help this turkey out. You know where you can stick your plug?
I'm gonna be trying to get my dad back into fly fishing this weekend. Does anybody have any info on the Upper Truckee... Like access info? Is it too low to fish?
I'm not sure of any names, but I know there are shuttle services.
That just makes it all the more fun.
No booze, no guns, no fire... NO FUN! Anybody that can't handle any of these shouldn't be camping in the first place.
Why no weapons?
Yeah, but at least it lost it's bait soakers too. It's not gonna turn on like it's on a switch. Give it a few years.

Don't go to the mountains... Come to the bay area. Things are in full swing!
Right now there is no pressure,...
You said "ALL" time on the water. To me that means from 15 years ago to 2 hours ago. Whatever happened to guides actually wanting to help out the client? Now your saying 400 bucks isn't enough to...
Those are some nice "Herring"!
Haha, that's the truth. A guide doesn't need a tip to survive. They are making around 400 bucks a trip. Times that by at least 3 days a week. 1200 a week minus expenses. So maybe 900-1000 a week!...
I know a couple guides that fish all the time... Maybe it's because he doesn't have many clients, but I know he's not fishing to research for his clients. He's fishing because it's what he loves to...
So your saying that a guide doesn't fish for the enjoyment? He is only fishing to learn the water for his clients? I have to disagree.
I got an idea! Just make it easy for the guide and don't tip him. At least there's no way he can get audited. In all seriousness though, I don't think a guide should expect a tip. It's not the same...
Dear Son,
I'm writing this slow 'cause I know you can't read fast. We don't live where we did when you left. Your dad read in the paper that most accidents happen within twenty miles of home, so...
Hahaha, nice.
