The flats on the north end of Chesapeake Bay can be epic in April-May when the fish are moving into the Susquehanna River to spawn with fish chasing bait on and around the surface. It's mostly floating lines.Quote:

The Susquehanna itself has some huge stripers in it at that time of year, but is not really fly fishing friendly from the bank. Out of a jet boat might be a different story.
Further upstream, the river has an amazing smallmouth fishery in central PA with muskies too.
