The "Out of State" crowd.

Every year we get a bunch of fly fishers in the shop in the Spring who are getting ready for their annual trip out of state for trout. Mostly to Montana.

I know it is hard to believe but some of them have never bought a CA fishing license???

Most go for two weeks unless they are retired.

My friend Don Rotmas has been going for 30 years from CA to Idaho and Montana. I was lucky to have been invited about 1986. I can remember because I bought a new Suburban that year.

Some retired fly fishers go for 3 months.
