As a beginner I think Tightline is great. They stick to the demonstration and nothing else. Some other presenters chat for ages about unimportant stuff and while you're hanging on to the hackle pliers waiting for the next step, the fly unravels! Its quick and to the point.

I love watching Davie Mcphail tie, even if I only understand half of what he says. The other minor issue I have with his videos is that he makes very difficult stuff look like there’s nothing to it!

I'm from the far north west of Ireland. My parents can see Scotland from their front porch on a clear day. I can't understand half of what he says either! :-)
I enjoy Bass on the fly and saltwater fly fishing on facebook, Lots if interesting patterns to look at.
I also post pictures of my Sardine patterns -Air heads, and pole dancers.

Now then. I'm Scottish. So I can understand Davie very well. However I sure as hell cant tie like him !
