My new bass pond
Here are some picture of my new warm water fishery.

It only takes me five minutes to walk to this long pond from my new house in Chico. I have been told that this pond is home to large, 10lb, Florida strain largemouth bass. I have also found out for myself that there are also nice fat bluegills swimming in there as well.
Below is a picture of one I caught over this past weekend on a micro popper.

I am looking forward to the warmer months and float tubing this pond with my friends.

Let's see, fat Bluegill and 10 lb+ Bass..... 8) Still wanna tie small trout flies for the upcoming trout season :?: :?: :P :P :P

My reel is a Ross Canyon #2, not for saltwater. My 4wt Scott G-Series rod is a little too small for a standard saltwater reel.
As far as tying flies, I have started to think about tying more bass bugs and bluegill poppers. But I will still be tying small trout flies for the Yuba River.
