September is my favorite month for Half-pounder Steelhead in the Lower American River.

Go see any and get a nice balanced two hand outfit and get out with him for a lesson.


Like many of us, you can become a good Steelhead fly fisher right here in Sacramento on our little river.


Then you can take these skills to the Klamath and Rogue Rivers every year and become a 'Steelhead Junky'.



September would be my pick for the Lower Klamath and lower Rogue Rivers.

October is my favorite month on the middle Klamath and middle Rogue Rivers.



The weather in the Fall for Steelhead is perfect....not too hot and not too cold.
