Went out yesterday in the Delta for some top water LMB fishing.

Charlie Bisharat invited Eugene Graham and I to go down to the Delta with him in his custom 20' Koffler fly fishing skiff.

Charlie is a fly developer with the Umpqua "Airhead" and "Pole Dancer" to his credit.

He brought lots of his experimental patterns for top water bass fishing so we tried many of them.

We went out about 4:oo pm until sundown finding better top water action as the sun got lower in the sky.

We had a great time touring around in the Delta and had OK fishing. We got some small to medium bass.

Charlie can cast a popper further backwards in winding conditions than most of us can cast normally.

He is a world class caster of big top water flies with big rods and line. He was a very good football player in high school and college.

It was fun getting out in the Delta in a large, wide powerful custom built skiff designed for fly casting.

We have to thank Kevin Doran for teaching us all some good techniques for top water LMB.
