American River Updates?

My spots on the upper river are seeing very few new fish coming up now. So, either we're in a dry spell or it must be time to fish the middle stretches...like Goethe or Watt or maybe even as far as the Paradise Beach area. My thinking is, fresher spring run fish must be there. And, maybe even those winter run fish on their way back out to sea.

Anyone have two cents to share on this? Thanks.

Yep, it's kinda a slow period right now. This is typically when we see the tail end of the winter-runs (though we did get some fresh fish this past week -- 1 even with sea lice). The spring fish are coming...seen a few of them lately, as well. Get you Bird's Nests and caddis pupae ready!
