Vero Beach Jacks
I was just watching Carter Andrews chasing huge jacks in Bill's backyard near his place in Sebastian. Looks like the closest thing to a GT without going to Christmas Is.
I've taken lots of these in Loreto and La Paz but these seemed unusually large and in mass schools as they migrate following the mullet.
The ariel shots from the drone are fantastic. Watch the Outdoor Channel and find "The Obsession of Carter Andrew's" most recent show.
Bill, are you familiar with this "spring" migration of jacks ? How long does it last ?

I've added a few pictures of these "Baja GT's" from some of our trips to La Paz. The "Jack Crevalle" and the "Giant Trevally" are obviously first cousins.

I will check with our guide, Eric Davis in Vero Beach about the Spring Jack migration.
Aug/Sept/Oct is the Mullet Run or Fall bait fish migration where the bait fish all head south as the weather cools in the Fall.
Sacramento/San Joaquin Delta Commando Steve Potter and his wife just moved to Vero Beach.

The all-tackle world record jack weighed 54 pounds, 7 ounces and was caught in Gabon.
The men's 20-pound test world record of 47 pounds was set in Jupiter
The men's 12-pound test record of 39-4 was set in Palm Beach.
They don't get as big as Giant Trevally = 176 lbs

Hilton head area in September has schools of 30 lb jacks

I guess many Jacks, Tuna, Stripers, and Bluefish head North in the summer and South in the Winter, along with the many different
schools of bait fish?
Once I heard that Stripers and Jacks were around Savannah, Georgia in December.
I also heard Stripers were in Maine in the late summer.
I assume the bait goes North in the summer and South in the Winter?
