The most consistent topwater bite for me is during July and August but what do I know.

I still have original copies of the original KDM Rat Fly that I filmed back in the early 2000. Still one of the best top water bugs for the heavy weeds and cheesy matts.

Thanks MT.....I heard the same thing for one of our friends who got wild about top water LMB in the Delta.

He said his best day was in August one year. He said not too many anglers out there then.
