I met a couple of young die hard fishermen today.........

.........out on a small local deserted pier on the Indian River Lagoon in Sebastian, FL.

They were very friendly and we talk all about fishing and our obvious connection.

They were about 30 years old and they said all they do is work, fish, eat and sleep.

We talked about the thing that is inside us that drive us to go fishing, first and foremost.

They were cousins and left Jasonville for a week long road trip fishing Florida's east coast.

It was really windy and most would not have fished today but they did.


I asked them if they had a boat? They told me they are planning on buying a used motorhome and a small boat.

I told them that having a boat would really give them a lot of advantage.


After chatting with them for a half an hour we realized we are all part of a huge extended family, the fishermen.
