The Fly Fishers of Davis is a very good organization....

When I worked at West Capitol Rod & Gun in West Sacramento I started meeting some of it's founding members, 1970s?

Then when I was float tubing on Lake Solano on Putah Creek I met more of the Davis group.

Carry Boyden, Don Childress, Steve Ohrwall, Cal Kato, John Lagakis are some of the old timers who have kept this club strong.

They have some young blood in there now too who are doing a great job.


I think their monthly meeting is on the last Tuesday of each month.

Because of the fly fishing knowledge of the members they have very good outings throughout the year.
