Dave Whitlock passed away yesterday from a massive stroke.

As far as us Baby Boomers who fly fish are concern, Dave is on our "Top 10 List" of greats in our sport.


Dave was an author, artist, fly developer, fly tier, speaker, and helped pioneer the instructional fly fishing videos.


Umpqua Feather Merchants sent Dave to our fly shop about 40 years ago.

It was a huge thing for our shop and customers.


We are losing some of the old guard now........
