In the 1970s the local fly club, the CFFU, Califronia Fly Fishermen Unlimited, always had an annual outing to Pyramid Lake.
My brother Dick and I were the news letter editors during this time.
We drove up in my 1970 VW Bug and a big storm followed up there.
My Dad did some of those trips with his buddy John Morris
In the early 70’s my college buddies and I camped at Crosby’s.
