We got here in Florida a few weeks ago and it is hot and humid........nasty.
We decided our little winter home was too small to live in year round so we bought a larger home with a screened in pool.
Now I think the 4 hot months (June through September) will be easier to deal with.

It's also common to put shade cloth over these structures in the summer in FL to further moderate temperatures in the pool area. They are pretty nice. I'd build one on my house here in SMF but would be out of place and thus generate a lot of weird looks/questions from future buyers if/when we sell the place.Quote:
