LGC's American River Shad Tour

Folks,

We just did our Shad Tour on the American the last two days. The two groups had a great time learning about the river, the access areas, and how to rig their single handed or two handed fly rods for Shad. What kind of water to look for and how to approach the water while wading. We fished for a couple of hours each night. The first group fished at Upper Sunrise. We fished the lower portion across from the clay bank just up from the boat launch. No fish. The second group fished at Upper Sunrise also - but I moved them up above the riffle and we fished the big flat. Fish on!!! It was great.

Ran into some great friends out on the river Ken Davis from CFFU and Jeff Puttman. It was great to see them out and about willing to share info, with everyone trying to get into fish.
