I have to take a hiatus because I can't stand the smoke & the smell associated with it. Is anyone else doing the same or is just soldiering on?

It’s pretty thick up here in Idaho too. The other day I could barely see across the South Fork.
Our relatives in South Dakota said they go our smoke......
We do and we are not happy about it.
I am in the process of buying a place in Victor and was hoping we would get away from it when we come out next month...
Looking at the satellite images, it seems like the whole western half of the country is getting our smoke.
The fishing around here in CA has actually gotten better because it is filtering the sunlight and keeping water temps lower. The regular Truckee crowd says the river is flowing 2-4 degrees cooler at noontime than it was last week. I haven't fished at all in three weeks and have not fished in CA in probably 5-6 weeks.
In Idaho I hear that the smoke and filtered sunlight is helping the hatches a bit too.
Was on the Delta for 9 hrs today. Smoke is definitely helping the reaction bite
Pretty sure victor has smoke too. All I can say about the fishing is Hoppers are in abundance right now!
I was out in early August to inspect the house and had a 50 fish 4 hour session on hoppers on a S Fork trib. It was maniacal.
Tomorrow morning we are going to try to get over to Lawson's Landing on Tomales Bay.
PV did you fish the Teton up in the Valley?
