Last Monday on the Sacramento River by Woodson Bridge

Woodson Bridge State Recreation Area is about half way between Los Molinos and Chico.

We had 4 jet boats and about 10 people chasing those Shad.

Running the river in a jet boat is lots of fun.

Lots of wildlife up there.

It was fairly slow but we all caught some.

Several in the group had 13' Spey rods which was a big vantage on that larger river.

The water was 58 degrees in the mid-morning.

The highlight of the trip was a wonderful lunch whipped up by Maury Hatch and Dave Corey.
