Steelhead or Stripers

I spent some time over the last couple of weeks trying to catch a steelhead but could not pull it off. I am really soured on the winter steelhead right now. Seems like a lot of time spent for not a lot of catching. I may have to retire from winter steelhead. At least for the next nine months anyway. Maybe longer. We'll see.

Enough whining by me. I did catch a few stripers today. Not a lot of them around but enough. The wind kicked me around pretty good but I was able to fish a few spots. This one is 25" which is probably 5 pounds although I did not weigh it. Five pound stripers pull hard. I like them.

Like you feel about steelhead fishing, that’s how I feel about duck hunting. Pretty poor and it’s really sad. Gave it up last year
