My old friend Bruce Porter told me that he saw a Golden Eagle today above Watt Avenue

It dove down and picked up a ~3# Shad and flew off with it.


Has anyone seen a Golden Eagle on the lower American river?


Bruce said that Bald Eagles are fairly common place on the river.

Humm, how about an immature bald eagle? Not a behavior of golden eagles.
