Edit......8-25-14
Sunny/cloudy days and cool nights have helped keep water temps down........
60-62 at dawn, to 64-65 near noon..
67-68 deg. by days end.
Lower canyon is slightly cooler and better flows.
They're releasing 40cfs out of Boca......
Nights have been cool enough to have smoke on the water at dawn.
That is always a good sign for fishing!!!!
Guided yesterday and did well with a mixed bag of bows and browns.
Mostly, they ate midges.......sz 18-20 zebra....
Very little bug activity overall.
A few golden stones left.....
Sparse PMDs, a couple of Caddis.....
IF, it stays cool..........it may be game on again.
Starting to see little hints of Fall already........Aspens starting to turn gold.
I recommend NOT parking/standing under big pine trees, as squirrels have started bombing big green pine cones....
It's their version of sport.....I swear they aim.....although their season seems early this year.....

There is an 8 inch bow below the Brockway Road Bridge, with a couple of "runty" 2-4" fish next to it. Those look like browns.
Not sure why I should post that, but I just did.

John, they are in there......glad you found'em.
Maybe don't say exactly where.....
Fishers are supposed to find them, like Easter eggs......and the surprise!!!!!!!
Imagine 8 guys all struggling for fishing room for a brown......(which is also why I don't film and post).
Better yet........tell them about whitefish hole, easily one of THE best spots.....
Always a fatty in there!
