Truckee, CA.
The flows are nice in town, but really nice down below. Big stick time..
Temps are coming down at night and this helps a lot.
Water temps are around low 60s. am.
Color is a beautiful green.
Browns are coloring up and a bit rank, Bows are feeling more frisky.
Some nice fish being caught....
But they still require a quality T drift.
Bugs are not around much during the day, but the evening window is larger now, close to 2 hrs.
Lots of bugs then.....
PMDs, Baetis, Mahogany, and Midges.....
Hoppers will be on the menu for a while yet...till a hard freeze.
Bring a coat for dawn starts...
Take an overall look as soon as you get to water in the morning, then STOP fishing once in a while to see the change...
If there are clouds you can fish straight through the day....fish shade too.
Treat'em nice...

Thanks EZ....
Getting nipply.......
Frosting regularly at night..
Looks like winter is closing in.
I have tried for many years to get fishers to come up in winter when fishing is really good, to near no effect....
So, this is your last call for fair weather....
Nice colors, bring a camera....
A hatch of Baetis that impressed.....millions.
A few PMDs....
Midges of course.
Evenings are better than mornings.
Bring a coat for both.
Jim
