quick American update

Hit the river yesterday after some yard work. Took a newbie fishing buddy and was showing him why he had a two colored connection on the end of his line. (BIll Carnazzos' indicator system).Short line nymphing.
Fished a couple caddis style nymphs within a dozen cast Dave had a take and had it on for a few minutes before a weak knot gave way, he was really bummed,but he did a good playing the fish.That was the only hookup for the day. I was fishing mainly dries and didn't have much sucess.
Didn't see much hatching till after 4:00 and then a small mix of BWO and March browns. As typical for this time of year there was a few caddis just at dusk. It's almost caddis season I can feel it, and I have to get all the spring cleaning done dang quick.
