Gualala Action???

My son and I will be driving up to the Gualala this Tuesday to give it a try for the day. I tied into a huge steelhead last Febuary on the upper access. I'd like to say I landed it, but after a 15 minute fight of slipping and sliding over and around rocks and dodging obstacles it left me dazed and confused as it swam off into a fast stretch heading downsteam with my fly.

I heard that the bar is finally open and fish are in the system. Has anyone fished the Gualala this year, and can you give a report?

Be sure to try the Garcia River as well.

Call the 'Western Sport Shop' in Santa Rosa and ask for Carlo Bongio for a fishing report on the Russian River and those other small coastal rivers.

was up there this weekend fishing the garcia/navarro/gaulala... along with a few other rivers in that area. rivers are on the drop but fish are around. Send me a PM and i'll give you a little more info
