American 1/2

Made it out to the American this morning. Fished the hatchery side from about 8-10:30am.

Fish and game lady was there first thing checking licenses. Glad I had the bay/delta stamp too. I think it's a bit of a stretch needing a bay/delta stamp there, but she said you have to???

I was definitely blessed today. Great start to the new year :D

The A was kind enough to let me play with my favorite steelhead - a 6+lb chrome hen. She was hot. Two tail walks, a full gainer, several other jumps and blistering runs. All on the olive #12 Fox Popah.

She was the only fish hooked by about 8-10 anglers. Good #s of fish in the ladder, but I wonder if they are hanging out up there to stay away from all the fishermen? :wink:

Definitely can't complain about this one though! Thanks again for the hat Bill! :)
