Hi folks

Im lucky enough to be planning a trip to New Zealand in a couple weeks. We'll be cruising around the South Island for a couple weeks, should be a lot of fun. Does anyone have any recommendations for guides on the South Island? Any other local knowledge on specific rivers, access points, etc? I'll be sure to post a report with some pictures. Thanks in advance.

Hi Brad:

I was in NZed in October 2004. Steve Gerard of Methvin took my wife and I out on a snowy windy day. He put us on 14 large fish, which we hooked an landed all but 4.......great guide. Didn't have any gear, which he supplied. First guide I ever used in NZed (5th trip).........good luck
