If you're bogged-down , or stranded .... STAY WITH THE CAR . Going without food for a week won't kill you , hypothermia from wandering around will . Tragic waste of life ....

This was a tragedy that happend close to us here in Southern Oregon. It seems every year someone trys to go over Bear Camp road in the winter and gets stuck . It's a bad road in the summer let alone the winter. After this accident there is talk of trying to get a gate on the road to keep folks from trying to use the road in the winter . I feel for the family .

Man, that is so sad. A tragic reminder to always pack for contingencies when you head towards the hills late in the year to get some fishing in. Never know when you might be snowed in and/or break down somewhere.
