I just received an email from some of the guys involved with the sequel to The Trout Bum Diaries. Due to the overwhelming response they have decided to take the next film featuring New Zealand on a nationwide tour. Fortunately on January 20th they will be stopping at UC Davis for a screening. I don't have all of the details yet but as I get them I will be sure to pass them along. We should have some promo materials with all of the info in the shop within the next couple of weeks. Please spread the word as they hope to make this a really great showing!
Check out www.flyfishingfilmtour.com for more info.

Thanks

hola all,

checked out the show last night in San Mateo and it was pretty fun. i think 6-7 highlight "shorts" of each film and some were pretty good. funniest had to be "running down the man. " by Ben Knight and Travis Rummel with them both sprinting up and down the beach, completely out of breath, on the east cape of baja, trying to catch roosterfish with a fly rod from the shore. pretty classic. i think if one wanted to seriously go after the roosters in this style, you might want to train for a month or so before going.

they were also raffling out some gear. bummed to say that i did NOT come home with the sage reel. point being that there is definitely some worthy shwag.

most definitely go check out the show when it rolls through town. they are all doing some very cool, creative stuff and can use all the support they can get.

adios!

justin

I caught the opener at Patagonia in Ventura Friday night.
Great flicks and the rooster fish video was hilarious.
Anyone that has chased those things from the beach can definitely relate.
Definitely worth the 12 bucks imho.

When I was younger, 1960s, people came around with outdoor (fishing/hunting) 16mm movies to Sacramento.

I saw some at local sport shows and one at McClatchy High School.
