I took ten days of vacation time at Thanksgiving and was able to go fishing for seven days. The total after seven days:

61 stripers
11 large mouth
2 crappie
2 catfish ( I didn't know that a catfish would take a fly)

Most of the stripers were three or four pounds, but there were enough seven and nine pounders mixed in to make it fun. Large fish were one eleven pounder and one thirteen pounder. All the fish were released except for one "bleeder" that I enjoyed for dinner.

In my opinion, November is the best striper fishing of the year. Once the rain starts and the water turns cold and muddy, it's pretty much over until Easter. Jerry in Lodi is right - GET OUT THERE NOW!!
