Middle Rogue Steelhead - Friday morning

Up early wade fishing. Water is 43 degrees and flow is about 2,600 cfs with good clarity. Caught & released this 23" wild fish on my bead head nymph. This fish looked like he just came from the ocean.

Then caught & released this very thick 27" hatchery fish again on my bead head nymph. This picture really shows the fall colors.

Wake up. Have a cup of coffee. Mosey down to the river. Nail a couple of nice chromers. Post photos to the bulletin board, then off to the office...
