How large of a fly do you guys fish for stripes. I know it will change for some of you depending on water clarity , temps and forage fish sizes. But on average whats the length, not hook size.

Say Hey Charlie,
It depends on if I'm chasing stripers in the Delta, rivers, SF Bay, or surf zone. My collection includes streamers from 2" to 8". Most of my work is done with 2" to 5" versions.

As Ken says, it depends! A bluegill pattern may be as short as 2 1/2 inches, a clouser as long as 6 For patterns like clousers I have flies from about 2 1/2 inches through 4 1/2. I most commonly fish a clouser of about 3 1/2 to 4 inches though.

1 1/2 inches (something like a Deep Sheep Shad ...) to over 10 inches (a Siliclone tyed w/ big-fly fiber) .

If I only had ONE to use everywhere ..... a 1/0 white Deceiver about three inches long .

I usually throw a whistler big enough to make me want to wear a football helmet when I'm casting. Seriously though, most of the flies I flick around are about 4-7". I think the most important thing is fish with flies that you are confident in. If they don't eat it - they aren't there, so move until the do eat it.
