Looks like there in pretty good now. In between salmon sessions I grabbed the fly rod and went out looking. Sat I hooked into 4 with the biggest about 14" and fiesty. Sun I hooked a couple but didn't bring any to hand. Went after them again Mon and 3rd cast gave up a 16" fish. Mon was hot with about 9 hook-ups from the little guys. At one point I hooked 4 fish on 4 casts. Dead drifting worked the best but I started letting the fly swing and hang below me for a few strikes. An Olive Caddis Poopah was the fly they wanted. Have fun out there.

Sounds like you've been having a good time! 8) Were you using a standard Fox Poopah? What size if I may ask? Thanks!

Yeah, it was the standard Fox Poopah. I've been playing around with different shades and the one I was using has a lighter, shiny look. The size was a #12.

Thanks! We have another fella on this board (MSP) who does well with those things as well. He also catches shad on them during shad season.

Glad to hear folks are doing well out there. I guess I was just unlucky yesterday. I fished fairly hard all day and no dice...even after I located pods of fish and gave them what I thought were some of the best presentations I could have done!
