Great job Kraig, glad to see you got into 'em and that the boat worked out so well! 8) Nice pics too but, you know, that net in the second pic just doesn't do that fish any justice. . . . :?

Kraig,

Great pictures! You made a smart move by getting a 4-Stroke. My Mariner 90 2-Stroke with jet pump is driving me to the poor house. One word of caution: When a jet boat bottoms out on a sand bar the occupants keep traveling at 25 MPH. We should be warring helmets, but no one does. Shallow water isn't much of a cushion!

Great photos and report.........

We fished down there once with Fred Gordon.

Brian @ Sutter Marine in Yuba City has outfitted a dozen or so friends with great fishing boats. They really cater to fishermen who are looking for aluminum boats that are affordable.

You got a great boat there.

thanks for the report. I drive over Woodson everyday, but have never launched there to fish it. This has just gotten me a bit morer motivated to give it a go. How far up did you go, did you make it the the Mill Creek launch.

Sweet!

Let me know if you ever need a counterbalance of about 200lbs in that boat!

Nice pics.

It does seem to run a lot better with and additional 200lb up front. Anyone here is welcome and I will definitely post when I need to a little extra weight in the bow.
