Hey everyone, I am going up to my favorite area, Siskiyou County for a float tube trip on Kangaroo Lake on the 14th of October. I would like to fish the McCloud on the following Sunday. Does anyone have any trip reports or advice for that river? I want to go to the area below the dam, the Ah-Di-Na area. Thanks for any info. I'll fill you all in when I get back.
BTW, here's a few pics from my last trip up to that neck of the woods. http://bobandalastair.saxlessons.com

I was there 2 weeks ago and will probably go again very soon. The McCloud is in great shape and fishing well. Nymph the tail outs (18-22 PT's) in the AM and dry fly in the eve(16 parachute mayfly patterns and caddis). Streamer fish all day. There may ever be some browns from the lake moving in.

The river is beautiful...but...the fishing is slow. We fished most of the day and picked up three fish between my buddy and I. We were more sucessful than most. The upper Sac is fishing great!!!

Thanks for the replies. The trip to Kangaroo Lake was pretty cool. I only caught one but it was a great day on the water, none the less. I have updated my web site with pics from that outing. Check them out here: http://bobandalastair.saxlessons.com.
Man, that country up there sure is grand! I would love to retire up there someday.
