Hey Guys,
Two years ago I introduced the Slideball slider pattern for tarpon, which has proved deadly in the Yucatan. It is tied on a heavy Tar 812, and tied in a variety of colors with tan being the best.

This fall I have been having great success with it at the O'Niell Forebay, on stripers and LMB's, during periods of feeding activity. Although I get as many strikes with the gurgler, I am finding that a slowly fished Slideball slider gets as many strikes and more solid hookups. :)

It is tied with narrower (1/2" foam), however, it is thicker than usual. This gives more buoyancy in a smaller package. I am hoping to reduce this size even more for trout and other species.
It is a snap to tie, and very durable.
It is tied with a long-shank Mustad 34011, 1/0 hook, so that I can make it weedless.

Oh, the top water action is really happening right now if you hit the weather (wind) right!

Cheers,
Lee
