Annual Fall AMERICAN RIVER CLEAN-UP on Saturday, Sept. 23 8 AM to 1 PM
Join Protect American River Canyons for our annual Fall clean-up of the
American River Canyons in the Auburn State Recreation Area, (ASRA), on
Saturday, September 23 from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Participants will meet at
the curved bridge in the Confluence Area near the Highway 49 crossing of the
American River three miles south of Auburn.

This years clean-up will focus on the proposed American River Confluence
Parkway, especially the area beneath the Auburn-Foresthill bridge. This area
is a chronic clean-up problem and safety hazard for people recreating on the
river and trails below the bridge California State Parks Ranger Bill
Deitchman will direct the removal of trash that involves the CHP helicopter.

Check in at the PARC information booth in the Confluence Area to register
and receive your trash bags, and snacks, Wear sturdy shoes. Bring gloves,

Auburn-Placer Disposal for providing the dumpster, the CHP for their
