I have a boat configured just like it (mine has a different name) and love it for a fishing boat. The seats are on a slide rail for adjustment so moving or removing seats is easy. It is probably the best design for a fishing sled out there. Very sweet boat Bill.

Hi Sculpin,

Terry Thomas and I were over there in West Sacramento on Saturday peaking at their beautiful jet boats.

That open North Rivers 'Scout' is very nice. With a Yamaha 115hp/80hp @ pump and a nice trailer they are around $25,000.00.

The nice thing about North Rivers factory stores is that they are not on commission.

They have a huge facility there and are very friendly folks.

PS: They mentioned having those seats hooked to the side rails so they were movable too.

Bill, you may have missed your chance at a sled like that. Last year those guys were selling a model called the Revenge. It was a much less expensive version of that Scout - with a 0.160" bottom instead of the REAL heavy guage hulls. They had a package going with a 17-foot open sled, two seats up front, 55lb bow mount trolling motor, fish finder, Yamaha 60/40 4 stroke jet tiller.... basically ready to fish. It also came with two lamiglass salmon rods and the whole thing was $15,000 new.

It was North River's economy boat intended to compete with boats like the Talon from Alumaweld or the Angler from Weldcraft. And what did they do? They canceled the model this year, and they are no where to be found. In fact, I found two in Couer d' Alene a month ago for 18,000. They didn't even know they were discontinued. For some reason, North River still has them on their website.

Here's a great example of exactly the boat that would dominate the Sacramento Valley fishing scene. This is the North River Revenge model that would make a fantastic boat.

Here's a couple other good example so this model, and why it is a shame they were discontinued. For their price, it makes no sense why you would by a Lowe or G3.
