Looks like it will warm up a little this weekend then it is cooling down again.

Fall is our "second season" and is thought to be the best by many.

Kids are back in school and many outdoor types will be hunting too.

October is a great month with it not being to hot or too cold in Nor Cal.

On the coast you have Halibut and some time Albacore now.

Mid-September you have the start of the Isonychia mayfly hatch on the Pit River. Many other streams will be picking up with the cool Fall temps.

September is smoken' hot for Halfpounder Steelhead on the Rogue, Klamath and our Valley rivers.

The Sierra trout lakes will pick up with the cooler nights too.

Stripers will be heading to winter over in the Delta in October.

Black Bass should be good in any water they live in now. Sept/Oct till it cools off should be good.

Salmon are in many rivers now but every river has its own timing for peaks in the run. Sept is tops for the Feather. Oct is best for the American.

Adult Steelhead will be in the Upper Rogue in Oct as well as in the lower Feather and the lower Trinity.

You could head up to the Oregon coast for some crabbing, eating wild berrys and sea-run Cutthroat and salmon fishing with Oregon Salmon?

Get a trip planned for Fall while you can.
