I copied this from Dan Blanton's BB to get this message around:

"Dave Dempsey, from the Mt Tamalpais Fly Fishers
is organizing perhaps the first ever rally of motorcycle riders that tour-- AND FLYFISH!!!

Our fledgling group will be leaving Friday afternoon September 15th from the North Bay (location to be determined) and heading to Indian Creek Reservoir near Markleeville.

This is a "first" so we are not doing a lot of organized events at this point, other than a Friday night campfire and a no host dinner at the Wolf Creek Inn (formerly the Cutthroat Saloon) in Markleville Saturday night. It's strictly "pay as you go" and BYO!

There are some great rides over several mountain passes--the best of which (in my opinion) is Hwy 108 over the Sonora Pass--once you leave the tourist crowds behind (at Pinecrest) ;-) The ride over Monitor Pass is also nice.

If we can arrange for support vehicles (for tubes or???) we have the option of fishing both Heenan and Indian Creek Reservoir. Also in the immediate area are the West Carson, the East Carson, Markleeville Creek, and Pleasants Valley Creek(private) The West Walker, the East Walker and Rush Creek are further south but still manageable if you are not getting "saddle sore"

Non riders are welcome as are all models of two wheeled and four wheeled transportation!
