KD is still at it.....working DANGED hard promoting one of California's finest LM fisheries, the delta. He is also virtually tireless in his day long efforts to please his clients and show them delta LM success.
Even tho he had to contend with hot water and a brisk breeze ;-), both obvious nusiances through-out the day, success was to be ours. We did have a couple periods of brief blistering activity. We also observed many representatives of the dela wildlife available for observation on these trips.
Grand stories did nothing but add to the festivities of the event.
Evening arrived with our final period of blistering activity as the wind finally assumed a state of abayance allowing the water to glass-out and we were provided a spectacular sunset lighting up the evening's deminishing veil of atmospheric precipitation.
A GRAND time was had by all....

We got few pics as we were so busy on this excursion. These are a few, mostly wildlife shots.
This guy decided early on not to join us. There really is one of these in the next shot too. He is nearly behind the foremost grass clump.

Barely seen atop the levy, more of these elusive little critters were seen, but they seemed extremely shy this time.

:D Lee, for you to have captured on film the elusive Delta Long Eared Grass Eater is remarkable. It just shows how hard it is to get a good shot of one.:-)

Check out this rare wildlife shot of two male California Delta Flyfishers. I managed to catch these two bucks unaware in a bonding behavior of some sort. As best I could tell from the small cake like food they were eating, that the buck on the left was observing some sort birth anniversary. :D :Dhttp://www.avitale.com/LeeandKD.JPG

WOW,Anne!
Looks like you have actually documented a very rare visual verification of the presence of a couple representatives of the OSBS (Old Spent Buck Society).
Like their namesake, the steelhead (for being so hard headed), some are somewhat resident in nature and some are somewhat migratory in nature. Most were capable, in early stages of developement, of multiple runs to try repeat spawnings. Try is the operative word here.
Anyway, GRAND shot! A valued rareity indeed.
