fishing at the virginia lakes in mono county

Dad and I went to the Virginia lakes to do a little fishing on Sunday. We weren't having to much luck so we decided to take a little hike up the hill. That's when the fun started.

This is one of the ponds just before you get blue lake. There are tons of little brookies.

Here is one of them. He is about 6", the biggest probably went 11"

Then the rain started coming in.

We just avoided a soaking.

Can't say that I missed Sacramento much that day. Temp in sac... 110 degrees. temp. at Virginia lake... 55 degrees.
